Alicia Mize Rix, DMD
Dr. Rix is a native of Rome, Georgia. She grew up in the Shannon area and graduated in 1983 from Model High School . She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Sciences, cum laude, from Shorter College in 1987. She earned her DMD degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1991 and her certificate in Pediatric Dentistry in 1993 after completing a two year residency program in Pediatric Dentistry at MCG Hospital and Clinics. She began her practice in Rome in July 1993.
Dr. Rix has been happily married to John Rix since 1992. They have two children, Anna Kate and Sam. Faith and family are the most important things in her life. She is active at First Presbyterian Church of Rome. Dr. Rix enjoys reading, working on projects in her yard, cooking, and listening to relaxing music. She especially loves baking and making homemade jellies. Dr. Rix and her family love to travel, and they are working toward visiting all fifty states.
Dr. Rix is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry , the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, the Georgia Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Georgia Dental Association.
